"Prayers of Light" - The Byzantine Icons from the Monastery of Lepanto

Porta Coeli International Art Gallery, as part of the activities of promotion and production of art and humanistic culture, gathering the invitation of the parish museum of sacred art of Ruvo del Monte, staged in temporary exhibition the prestigious religious icons of the Monastery of the Lepanto (Greece).
The exhibition will be inaugurated Saturday, July 28 at the parish museum of Ruvo del Monte and will end on August 26th.
The vernissage scheduled for 18:30 will be characterized by the thematic reports of M ° Antonio Saluzzi (Head of the sacred section of Porta Coeli) and of Dr. Aniello Ertico (Director of Porta Coeli Art Gallery & Academy). The reports will be preceded by the address greetings of the Mayor of Ruvo del Monte Arch. Michele Metallo and of the Parish Priest Rev. Gerardo Gugliotta. The conclusions will be entrusted to the Regional Councilor Aurelio Pace.
It is a matter of defining, by means of the proposed artistic expression, the salient features of the culture and of the Orthodox devotion and of reclaiming lost consciences about the great suggestion that the devotional patrimony held in small Lucan centers can guarantee in a cultural enterprise key . A new collaboration on the local network for Porta Coeli, already active with important references in Italy and abroad.
